How to Use the Implied Volatility Calculator

1. Enter the option's market price (the midpoint of bid and ask is a common choice). 2. Enter the stock price, strike, days to expiration and interest rate. 3. Read the implied volatility and the one-standard-deviation expected move.

Compare implied volatility across strikes and expirations, or with the stock's own history, to see whether options are pricing in more or less movement than usual.

Results are educational estimates from standard formulas, not investment advice. Live prices, fees and your broker's rules can change the outcome.
